Custom Karate Gi — Student & Team Uniforms

A karate gi has to survive years of grip drills, throws, and repeated washing without the collar losing shape or the fabric thinning at the stress points — which is exactly where most budget gis fail first. We weave ours in 10oz poly-cotton canvas for student-weight uniforms and 12oz for competition/instructor-weight, since a single fabric weight across all skill levels is a common shortcut that leaves beginner gis too stiff and advanced gis too thin for sparring contact. Collars are triple-layered and cross-stitched at the seam, the point where cheaper gis fray first under grip-and-pull drills. Pants use a reinforced drawstring waist rather than elastic, which holds up better over repeated washing and matches most dojo grading requirements. We produce in the standard student/adult sizing range plus a dedicated kids' block, since a resized adult pattern doesn't fit a child's proportions correctly — shorter torso, narrower shoulder set. Belt rank patches and dojo crest embroidery can be added directly to the gi during production rather than as an aftermarket add-on. Minimum order is 30 units per size run, sample lead time 10 working days (woven goods take longer to sample than knit apparel), bulk production 20 to 25 days.
