Custom Aikido & Hapkido Uniforms (with Hakama)

Aikido and Hapkido uniforms center around a fundamentally different silhouette than the other arts on this list — the hakama (wide pleated pants worn over the gi bottom) is the defining piece, and it's a specialized construction most manufacturers skip because the pleating and rear box-pleat (koshiita) require different sewing setup than standard trousers. We produce the gi top in a mid-weight 8-10oz cotton similar to a karate gi, paired with a properly pleated hakama in polyester-cotton blend (a practical, lower-maintenance alternative to traditional tetron for daily training use) with the standard five-to-seven pleat front and reinforced koshiita back panel. Belt loops (himo) are reinforced at the stress point where they're tied and pulled during practice. We produce both a training set (gi plus hakama, simplified pleat count) and a formal/grading set for students testing for rank, since some schools require a specific pleat count or fabric for testing that differs from daily practice wear. Minimum order is 20 units per size run, sample lead time 12 working days (hakama pleating requires additional construction time), bulk production 25 to 30 days.
