Taekwondo's kicking-heavy movement is why the dobok is built lighter and cut differently than a karate gi — a heavier woven jacket restricts the high kicks and fast pivots central to the sport. We manufacture doboks in 6oz to 8oz poly-cotton poplin, light enough for full range of motion but still holding a pressed, competition-ready look through a full tournament day. The V-neck top is standard construction here, with reinforced stitching at the underarm seam specifically because that's the stress point during high kick and block combinations, not the collar (the main wear point on a karate gi). Pants are cut with a wider gusseted crotch panel for kick height, and use an elastic-and-drawstring combination waist that holds through repeated sparring without needing constant retying mid-class. We size across the full student range plus a dedicated poom/dan (junior black belt to adult black belt) competition-weight line, since federation and tournament dress codes often specify fabric weight and cut by rank. WT and ITF-style collar variations are both available on request, since the two federations use different jacket closures. Minimum order is 30 units per size run, sample lead time 10 working days, bulk production 20 to 25 days.
